Breathing Barriera new vision of highway barriera brand new way to prevent acid rain and air pollutionAir pollution is an urgent environmental issue needed to be solved. Its emissions of vehicles and PM 2.5 cause acid rain and pollution.Barriers are the highest interface contacting traffic flow. Moss can grow on the roadside in emissions, also can absorb vehicle emissions as nutrient. It's why we hope to improve pollution problems through the combination of these.-Breathing Barrier is a breakthrough in preventing acid rain and air pollution| BackgroundAir pollution is an environmental issue that is urgently needed to be solved. Mostly, the emissions of vehicles and PM2.5 cause acid rain and pollution.| Breathing BarrierBarriers are the highest interface that daily contact the traffic flow. However, moss can grow on the roadside in emissions from vehicles, also they can absorb vehicle emissions as their nutrient. That is why we hope to solve serious pollution problems through the combination of these.| Design Breathing Barrier is environmentally friendly blocking acid rain that they are using moss from the worldwide to cover it, the plant is widely used to efficiently prevent air pollution, and block acid rain.Moss normally survives by absorbing air and water, using its characteristics to absorb and filter the emission and particulate matter by the vehicle, transform it into nutrients for growth, and integrate it with the acoustic barrier as a new interface to improve the problem of air pollution.| AnalysisAcid rain definition Vehicle emissions, nitrates, and ammonia-nitrogen combine with acid and ammonia in the air to cause acid rain.So far, the existing acoustic barrier has only one effect of blocking noise from vehicles, and there is no other function that improves the environment. Therefore, we dedicated to create a new design and find solution.| Design Method & Principle (each veneer)- Acid rain:A large area of moss wall is used to absorb emissions. The main component of emissions are NO3-, and NH4+ , and also the components to cause acid rain. So, we use the nitrogen-fixing ability of the moss (nitrification) to decompose these components that causing air pollution.- PM2.5:Using moss symbiotic algae and fungi. After PM2.5 attachment,  algae and fungi could decompose the required substances for moss.- Honeycomb structureThe hexagonal honeycomb structure adopts a certain solidity and is modularized into a rod and a plate structure, which could be simply and rapidly assembled.| Integral aluminum alloy structureThe overall is an aluminum alloy pipe, and the horizontal pipes have holes to make the rain flow down, providing rain to everywhere, and the space below the barrier is used for storing the filtered rain and be used as nutrient for moss .| Moss Barrier - Anthocerotophyta- Bryophyta / The moss branch is global, easily accessible and adaptable to a variety of environments.- Cotton & Moss Fiber / Cotton provides symbiotic algae and fungi attachment.Moss fiber provides moss attachment.| FutureBreathing Barrier has a considerable filtration capacity.
